SJJAF Open Africa Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2022: After Event Release
The fourth (4th) edition of the SJJAF Open Africa Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2022 took place on Saturday 12 November 2022 at Côte d’Or National Sports Complex, Motorway M3, Côte D’Or, St Pierre 97410, Republic of Mauritius as from 09.30 a.m. This was the first international event by the Sport Jiu-Jitsu African Federation, in collaboration with the Mauritius Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, has organised since the COVID-19 restrictions.The most promising athletes of the Federation were given the opportunity to participate in this event and show their prowess against other practitioners worldwide. Participating international athletes came from various countries, including but not limited to, France, Madagascar, Tunisia, China, Algeria, Reunion Island, Rodrigues, United States of America (USA) and Russia.
During the ceremony, we were graced by the presence of Hon Muhammud Zahid Nazurally, H.E. Mr. Kawaguchi Shuichiro, the ambassador of Japan, Mr Matabudul, the CEO of Polytechnics, Dr Mansoor Takun, paediatrician, Mr Ali Jookhun, Mr Rasamy-Anoharana Rado Ndimbiniaina Patrick, coach for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Madagascar, Chairperson Africa Down Syndrome Network & Founder Member Down Syndrome Association Mauritius, Mr Ajay Sowdagur, Secretary General for National Social Inclusion Foundation (NSIF) and Me Jessica Naga, Barrister-At-Law (UK).
